Viva Las Vegas! Let’s take a virtual trip and not lose any money gambling.

Travel Guide: Palm Springs

We spent the first week of 2017 in sunny Palm Springs, California.

Palm Springs used to be Hollywood’s playground for Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope etc. With its relaxed pace, 350 days of sunshine and modern architecture design eye candy — there is something for everyone! (more…)

NYC Highlights

This past weekend, Kevin and I were in New York visiting my brother and exploring one of my favorite cities. I love the energy, architecture, restaurants and people watching in NYC. We had a jam-packed trip and explored many different pockets of the city. There is so much ground to cover, that city always leaves me wanting more.

We went on the NBC tour, shopped at Bergdorf’s, ate dinner at Rosemary’s, saw an improv show by the Upright Citizens Brigade, explored Brooklyn, paid a visit to the 9/11 memorial and walked through The Met. Below are some photo highlights from the trip.

I tend to book the first flight out, so I can hit the ground running and explore! I hate wasting a day of a trip with travel. I wore this look to the airport and felt like it was well suited for a day of playing tourist.

{Brunch at Bubby’s in Tribeca — one of my favorite NYC brunch spots}

love milk

{Enjoyed sweets at Momofuku’s milk bar for the first time. We tasted the b’day truffles, crack pie, cereal milk and the compost cookie. Remember, calories don’t count in different zipcodes.}

{We walked from Manhattan to Brooklyn via the Brooklyn Bridge. That was our first time in Brooklyn and we loved it! We visited Brooklyn Brewery and ate dinner at Peter Luger.}

{The Met is my absolute favorite museum. I love Claude Monet’s paintings.}

I always love visiting New York. There is always something new to see, experience and eat. My NY restaurant list is quadruple the length of my Chicago one. A few spots I want to try next time are — Charlie Bird, Estela, Locanda Verde, The Dutch — it never ends! What are your NYC favorites?
