Caroline’s 1st Bday Party Recap & Gift Ideas

We had the best time celebrating Caroline’s 1st bday with our friends and family!

We wanted to do something that was fun for our friends, so opted for an afternoon paddle tennis party. Since Caroline’s birthday is in January, it’s prime paddle tennis weather. While guests were on the paddle courts, other guests sipped on bevys and noshed on snacks in the cozy paddle hut.

My sorority sister, Mary, has the most adorable party planning service located in Witchia, KS called –  Love of Character. Their website and Instagram account have so much party inspiration, it makes me want to entertain more!

Mary helped me virtually with decor. I sent her images of the paddle hut and once we solidified a color scheme she got to work! We decided on pink and green with gold hints. She sent me a mood board of what she was thinking and nailed it. My favorite part was the gorgeous balloon garland she made which added a fun pop of decor on the fireplace mantel. She shipped the balloon garland and it arrived perfectly – I highly recommend this for any fête! Mary also found us jawbreakers that looked like tennis balls, fun balloons and festive paper goods. I so appreciated her cohesive approach to make sure everything was celebration ready!

When Caroline turned 1, I felt like she actually started playing with toys and I wanted to share some of her favorites! I know, I often struggle with what to gift children at certain ages if I’m not familiar with that age.
